A MESSAGE FROM TELLING TALES FOUNDER SIMON AYLIN
“At Telling Tales we’ve been running classes and courses in Oundle for over ten years now - and it’s a wonderful place to do what we love the most. I believe that to really serve a community you have to be a part of it. I’ve been a member of the Oundle Primary School Board of Governors, been Director at The Stahl Theatre for Oundle School, and I have been a part of many local schools term time offerings; directing shows, taking clubs and teaching classes. I think my time working with the children of Oundle has given me a great understanding of the needs of the families in the area. After an uncertain couple of years, where I know parents have often struggled to find chances for their children to try new things and explore new challenges, Telling Tales have been thinking long and hard about how we can expand the opportunities we offer.
So - what’s coming up in 2024?
Our Oundle Performing Arts Academy will continue to run at Laxton Junior School on a Saturday morning, with more opportunities to perform for family and friends than ever before. LAMDA tuition will also continue on a Saturday. And again this year we’re bringing our expertise for pastoral care and confidence building to a whole new range of activities with our holiday club provision. Telling Tales will partner with great teachers in subjects like Sport, Art and Music to deliver Oundle based experiences that are as challenging as they are fun.
And rest assured - no matter what we’re teaching - our priorities willl remain the same. Every child ends the day happy and healthy and eager to face the next challenge.“
